  24. You can not exclude an individual object or surface from the influence of
  25. lights; however, you can adjust lights so that they don't cause specular
  26. highlights and/or so they only cause specular highlights (and don't increase
  27. the brightness of objects). This is on a light by light basis, not object by
  28. object.

  31. the effects of raytracing.

  36. The Scene Panel shows the camera and all objects, lights, and bones in the
  37. scene. It shows the parenting relationship among them and at which frames
  38. these items have keyframes. Motions paths are show in the Layout screen when
  39. the item is selected. Also, the Motion Graph panel gives a very detailed view
  40. of an items motion path, rotation, scaling, and velocity. These elements are
  41. editable here as well as in the Layout screen.

  45. LightWave 5.0 ships with a polygon reducing plug-in which is very useful;
  46. BUT, it is mainly for eliminating coplanar polygons. One big advantage of
  47. LightWave is that it supports n-gons. This just means that polygons are not
  48. restricted to three sides, as they are in some other 3D programs. This fact
  49. alone greatly reduces the number of polygons in an object. I believe the
  50. limit is 1000 points per polygon.
